The Blue Angels were originally formed, “to showcase the pride and professionalism of the U.S. Navy & Marine Corps by inspiring a culture of excellence as service to country through flight demonstrations and community outreach.” Top Navy and Marine pilots fly F/A 18 Hornets in the range of 400-700 miles per hour and at a mere 18 inches apart across the turquoise waters of Pensacola beaches. July 14th is the highly-anticipated annual “Homecoming Show,” in which the elite pilots display several choreographed flight patterns including the famous: “Fleur-dis-lee” and “Diamond Dirt Loop.” These beyond talented pilots, display the most precise flying skills known to man.  If you are planning to spend the weekend at Pensacola Beach to watch the show be sure to plan your vacation now.
