Gulf Shores restaurants are many in number and I'm going to try and help weed out some of the average places in an effort to increase the likelihood of a great experience. Most visitors only eat out a hand full of times and as a result will base their perception of Gulf Shores restaurants on their experiences in a few restaurants. Avoid the Restaurant at The Beach Club. It's one of the many average eateries with prices which portray them as something they are not. If you are looking for great seafood, Cosmos, Big Fish, Mikee's and Nolans are "stand alone". If you are after the best steak in the area, hit Lesters...while you are there, order the a'la Myers sauce. It's a greek-style cream sauce, best on fish. Trust me and find something to put it on...steak, seafood, bread or even plain...it makes everything better. Cosmos offers great sushi as does Mikados. Desoto's has a great home style lunch. If you are looking for a restaurant that does everything well, Lesters, Nolans and Cosmos are great. You can't go wrong.
