There are a number of Gulf Shores condos that line Little Lagoon in the West Beach area of town. These condos are perfect for those who intend to do some boating around the area because their location on Little Lagoon means that it's quick and easy for guests and residents to get from their condo out into the Gulf of Mexico by boat. Right in the middle of Little Lagoon is a strip of land that was carved away to allow boats and even some underwater species to travel between the Gulf and the Lagoon. Not all condos with Gulf access have boat docks. For many, it means offering deeded beach access. Because the West Beach area and Fort Morgan peninsula are so narrow, it only takes a short walk to get down to the beach and water. Crystal Tower, one of the most popular condos in Gulf Shores, has a walkway that actually goes over the road so pedestrians can get to the Gulf of Mexico quickly and safely. Others, like Fort Morgan Townhomes, are on the south side of the main road, but not directly on the Gulf of Mexico. These offer deeded beach access that is just steps away from the property.

Condos with Gulf access are not limited to those in the West Beach area of Gulf Shores, Alabama. Condos like the Grand Beach Resort are located in the far east region of Gulf Shores, bordering the Gulf State Park, and sit just across East Beach Boulevard from the beach. In these cases, condos typically offer deeded beach access to owners and visitors, though many choose to head to nearby Gulf Place (the public beach area) to grab some cold drinks at The Hangout before heading onto the white sands to soak up some sun or play in the water.
