Just down the road from The Track Family Recreation Center, about a quarter of a mile north of the beach, Waterville USA offers some of the best water attractions on the Gulf Coast! Waterville USA is both a waterpark and an amusement park spread out over 20 acres near the Gulf State Park. The park originally opened in 1986 and, since then, it has become one of the most popular destinations in all of Baldwin County, Alabama.
The waterpark portion of Waterville USA features over seventeen water attractions, including pools, a lazy river, waterslides, and a wave pool, just to name a few. The Dune Racer, one of the most popular waterslides, features several different tubes so the whole family can race down these 55-foot tall slides. Little kids love WaWa World, with a playground and smaller slides, while the Shrimp Boat Village is perfect for older kids. Those who are brave enough can speed down the Screamin' Demon waterslide, which features a 60-foot dead drop. The Flowrider is a simulated surfing attraction where novices and experienced surfers alike can have a competition to see who can stay up the longest!
The amusement park at Waterville USA has something for everyone! Head over to the Cannonball Run roller coaster, play some mini golf, or head over to the arcade. There are go-karts and even a trampoline area where the whole family can get moving. There is a brand new feature coming to Waterville USA in 2017 called Breakout Waterville. This live escape game is fun for the whole family, class trips, and even groups of adults. Waterville USA's close proximity to downtown Gulf Shores condos make it a great choice for visitors to the area looking for the perfect way to spend a day.
Waterville USA is closed during the winter months, but the waterpark opens in the spring and amusement park in the summer. The waterpark is open from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm and the amusement park is open starting at 12:00 pm until 6:00 pm. Admission tickets give visitors access to both the waterpark and amusement park. Regular admission is $35.95, military admission is $27.95, senior tickets and admission for visitors under 42 inches is $25.95, and guests two years and younger get in free. Cabanas are available for rent at Waterville USA. These 12x12 cabanas come with two beach recliners, four chairs, a table, free basket rental, and towels. Cabana rentals cost $135.
