Tickets are now on sale for Tropic Falls Theme Park at OWA. OWA entertainment district expanded its amusement park this summer to include a 100,000 square foot indoor-outdoor water park. Season Passes, which include the water park and amusement park, begin at $269.99 with a one-day admission ticket to both parks priced at $63.00 if purchased online. Tropic Falls is set to open phase one on June 27. OWA, pronounced “oh-wah”, is the Muscogee Creek Indian word for big water and Tropic Falls promises to provide just that. Phase one will include access to six thrill slides, a five slide children's play area, lazy river, dining area, arcade and party rental rooms. The phase one fun is all indoors, enclosed in a beautiful glass building so that locals and visitors to the area can enjoy the water no matter the weather. This state of the art building is one of the first in the world to contain a retractable roof and wall that will bring the outdoors in on a beautiful day. The phase two outdoor area, slated to open later in the summer, will add to the enjoyment of Tropic Falls guests with a 30,000 square foot wave pool, surf simulator, private cabana rentals and additional dining and beverage stations.
What does Tropic Falls Theme Park mean to real estate investors? Tropic Falls will draw visitors from the southeast and throughout the country to our area year round. This is one of the many reasons the Gulf Coast rental season is more than 320 days a year. Year-round rentals mean your investment property will cash flow. Your rental income will more than pay your mortgage for you. Guests flock to Gulf Shores and Orange Beach year round to enjoy our beautiful weather, sugar white sand beaches, the many entertainment options available, and now Tropic Falls, an indoor-outdoor water park.
I personally live in Gulf Shores because I love the beach and the small town feel with the entertainment options of a bigger city. I own and rent condominiums on the beach because they are a great investment. My units more than pay for themselves with the rent they bring in.
