Those living in and around Foley, Alabama have probably already noticed the huge construction project currently underway between Highway 59 and the Baldwin Beach Express. Originally dubbed Blue Collar Country ndash; a family entertainment complex associated with Jeff Foxworthy, Bill Engvall, and Larry the Cable Guy ndash; the Poarch Band of Creek Indians have taken over the project, keeping some details about the entertainment center and amusement park under wraps even as the Foley Sports Tourism Complex began hosting sports tournaments. The complex is comprised of fifteen sports fields with natural grass, measuring 120 yards long and 75 yards wide and one championship field with stadium seating. These fields are designed to host a number of sports, from soccer to lacrosse to rugby. Additionally, a 90,000-square-foot entertainment center is designed for indoor competitions, such as cheerleading and basketball.nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp; Although there is still a lot of construction and work going on in the area, there have been several sports competitions held in the Foley Sports Tourism Complex already and more are scheduled. In November 2016, the National Intramural-Recreational Sports Association is scheduled to hold a huge soccer tournament with 96 club and intramural teams competing against each other. This complex promises to house many more sports tournaments and a 150-room Marriott Hotel is currently under construction to help house teams while they are here, as well as a second hotel nearby. With so many teams and tourists coming to the area to attend competitions, this Foley Sports Tourism Complex promises to give a huge boost to Baldwin Countyrsquo;s economy. With the Gulf of Mexico and the beaches of Gulf Shores and Orange Beach just minutes away, more and more people will flock to the area to watch competitions and then spend a relaxing weekend at the beach.nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;nbsp; The Poarch Creek are also constructing a large amusement park and entertainment complex, but have not yet revealed what the new name will, though the signs for the original Blue Collar Country are still up around the construction site.nbsp; Virtual tour from the OWA website
