Phoenix West II Condominium

Phoenix West II condominium has been under construction for some time now.  The inauspicious start is a subsequent result from Katrina.  The newest development from Brett Robinson was simply ill-timed.  The first Phoenix West building which was finished prior to the storm is one of the nicer developments on the Gulf of Mexico in Alabama, perhaps on surpassed by the Turquoise Place towers.  Phoenix West II is the companies second project with elaborate amenities such as its lazy river.  One thing is for sure - when the building is finally completed and the certificate of occupancy is issued, it will be one of the great residences in an area already full of of beautiful condominiums.

In 2011, BP agreed to pay the development company 37.2 million dollars to finish the 32 story gulf front development in Orange Beach, AL.  The 245 million dollar project consists of 358 individual condo units.  The BP money was given under the stipulation that the 188 people that had already bought units in Phoenix West II would not sue BP and others involved in the oil spill.  From the settlement, 35 million will be used to finish the building and 2.2 million was paid to attorneys involved.  The development company has a 40 year history on the Alabama Gulf Coast beaches with Phoenix West II constituting the company's 19th tower.  They not only have built condos directly on the Gulf of Mexico, but on the back waters as well with Phoenix on the Bay I & II.  They have also built something called "condotels" which are similar to a normal condominium, but the owners have much less authority in how the condo is rented and with making alterations.  Click here to view Phoenix All Suites condos for sale.

Seventy percent of the people who bought condos in Phoenix West II own condos in other Phoenix buildings and twenty five percent bought more than one unit in Phoenix West II.  Prior to the oil spill, three bedroom units in Phoenix West II were selling for approximately $510,000.  As of 8/14/2013, the lowest priced three bedroom condo in the building is listed at $560,000 which comes to $286 per square foot.  This number is a far cry from the figures prior to Katrina when price per square foot for a development like this approaching $600 per square foot.  All of this basically means that prices are at a seven year low and now is a great time to consider investing in gulf front condominiums.  Click here to view current Phoenix West II condos for sale in Orange Beach, AL. Phoenix West II, like Phoenix West has an amenity package unlike most all other condos in the area.  This is one of the contributing factors to the condominium being a success when it's completed.  Things are much different these days compared to the past.  Once these new condos started adding things like lazy rivers, indoor heated pools, tiki bars and large exercise facilities, people started expecting these amenities and if a condo lacked these things, vacationers would simply find a place that had these features.  A simple amenity such as an indoor pool increases rentals in the off season tremendously.  While not all of the owners in buildings like Phoenix West and Phoenix West II rent their units, the majority of the owners in these condos depend on visiting families to help with the expenses involved in owning a gulf front condo, especially in a high-end condominium.  To view all of the Phoenix buildings with brief info, thumbnails and location information, visit our Phoenix condos page  Below is a list of the amenities for the Phoenix West towers:
