Gulf Front Investment Condos

The Alabama / Florida Gulf Coast is home to a variety of properties.  We'll discuss some of the better investment condos in this article.  The majority of the best pure investment condos are in Alabama;  Perdido Key is more of a second home market with many of the condos being rent restricted.  We'll consider the primary criteria for an "investment condo" as cost versus annual rental income generated.

We'll start with the West Beach area of Gulf Shores, AL which is rich with great income producing gulf front condos.  Some things to consider are the amenities.  An indoor pool for example, is a great amenity because off season guests like to have the opportunity to swim and most of the gulf side pools and the gulf are too cold for swimming.  Crystal Shores, Crystal Shores West, Island Royale and Island Tower are all in West Beach and offer an indoor pool.

After crossing over the Hwy. 59 intersection, there is the Lighthouse, Colonnades, Seawind, and Royal Palms that all offer indoor pools.  These condos are all fairly new with Royal Palms being the elder, but the units in this building have bunks in the hallway which allows for extra sleeping accommodations.  This is a great feature and the Lighthouse also have a place for bunks, but they are in an extra room.  Some of the Lighthouse owners have utilized this extra room as an office and others bunks.  The Lighthouse is probably the best investment on the Alabama Gulf Coast.

Getting in to Orange Beach, we'll start with Regency Isle, Tidewater and the Phoenix buildings as the better economical investment condos.  Some other great investment options that are high-end are the Phoenix West, Turquoise Place and Admiral's Quarters.  Turquoise Place and Phoenix West offer things like lazy rivers, water slides and tennis courts;  Turquoise Place has a tiki bar that serves food and drinks.  All of these properties have indoor pools.  Other condos on the gulf in Orange Beach worth mentioning are Windward Pointe, Pelican Pointe, Summer House and Sea Chase.
