Gulf Shores AL Condos

Posted by Rachel Kelly on Wednesday, December 11th, 2013 at 4:07pm.

There are many condos in Gulf Shores, AL that rent well.  There are condos on Little Lagoon and condos in West Beach.  There are condos on Lake Shelby and condos in the middle of town.  There are condos on golf courses and condos in Northern Gulf Shores.  There are condos with beach access and condos at the end of Fort Morgan road.  The point is that Gulf Shores, AL is full of all types of condominiums and we'll discuss the basics in this article.

We're going to start with the condos North of the Intracoastal bridge with no water frontage.  These are the most inexpensive and can range in price due to location and the amenities in the actual complex.  Typically the properties North of the bridge are not considered investment properties, but offer a great, inexpensive way to have a place at the beach.

Next, we'll discuss the properties on golf courses.  These units are slightly more expensive, do not rent exceptionally well and, again, offer a great way to own a place at the beach at a great price.  Obviously, they are great for the golfers who know how great the golf courses in Gulf Shores can be.  The  courses in Gulf Shores that offer condos actually on the course are:  Kiva Dunes condos, Peninsula Golf & Racquet condos, Gulf Shores golf club condos and Craft Farms condos.

Next, we'll go in to the condos that are not on the beach, but have beach access or are a short drive to the Gulf of Mexico.  Gulf Shores is littered with places that are not directly on the gulf, but are either walking distance or a short drive to those white, sandy beaches that draw a growing number of annual visitors.  Click here and view Gulf Shores, AL condos with beach access.

Next in line are the condos that offer water access for the boaters.  These buildings are located 16 miles West of hwy. 59 on Fort Morgan rd. (State Hwy. 180) in Navy Cove condos and the Rookery, the state park and many are in the West Beach area of Gulf Shores.  There are also condominiums on Plash Island in Gulf Shores.  Plash Island is easily reached by West county road 4.

Finally, we come to the gulf front condos.  Obviously, these buildings are everywhere.  Starting West, there is the Dunes and the Indies and also Plantation Palms, Royal Gulf Beach & Racquet and the Gulf Shores Plantation.  Last, but not least, the Beach Club could be considered an all-inclusive resort type complex.  The Beach Club Resort consists of four towers, several restaurants, a tennis facility and numerous other amenities.

In town, Royal Palms is the furthest condo East and the line the beach all the way West to Gulf Village which is an older building;  one of the last wooden-construction condos on the gulf.  In closing, Gulf Shores Alabama is home to a variety of condos as different as the names by which they're called.  In one of the next articles, we'll discuss the financial aspects of condo ownership including investment info, HOA information, rental information, taxes, insurance and which condos are the best investment choice.
